Safety Statistics

Schmueser & Associates, Inc. takes safety seriously and goes to great lengths to provide a safe, healthy, and productive work environment for both our employees and clients. Though we approach our projects with a safety first attitude, we also recognize the importance of a safe production philosophy.

Our Training Programs were developed and written specifically for our business and the environments in which we work. Training is performed in-house by our own qualified and certified instructors. We maintain our own Federally approved, MSHA Part 48 Training Program for both surface and underground operations, as well as providing for OSHA Training on our non-mining operations. In an effort to enhance training for our employees we have elected to become a member of the National Safety Council. In doing so we are able to provide certificate level CPR and First Aid training, utilizing their nationally recognized curriculum. HazCom is an integral part of our training and our program has been audited and approved by OSHA and MSHA.

Schmueser & Associates utilizes light and restricted duty return to work programs in an effort to keep affected employees productive and active in the work force. We work very closely with our insurance carriers to manage claims and minimize losses. Losses and statistical performance data are submitted annually and audited by outside firms. Audited safety performance data is available upon request.
