mineral-park-mineMINERAL PARK MINE – MILL EXPANSION PHASE 1

This project was a grassroots 50,000 ton/day copper/moly concentrator located at the Mineral Park Mine near Kingman, Arizona, with Phase 1 designed to process 25,000 ton/day. Phase 1 major equipment consisted of a new jaw crusher, 2 – 34’ diameter sag mills, 2 – 16’ x 32’ ball mills, 5 – 250 cubic meter rougher flotation cells, 32 – copper float cells, 40 – moly float cells, lime slaking plant, verti-mill (re-grind mill), 3 – 125’ diameter process thickeners, 2 – 125’ diameter tailings thickeners, copper filter press, moly filter press, and concentrate handling systems for both copper and moly.

S&A self performed placement all of the concrete (+34,000 cy) and rebar (+4,500,000 lbs), structural steel erection (+1000 ton), equipment installation, process pipe installation (+50,000 lf), and shared 50% of electrical and instrumentation installation. 680,000 man-hours were expended during the 22 months of construction and 1 month of start-up.

phoenix-millPhoenix Mill & Tailings Project

Our scope of work at this 40,000 tpd gold mill included construction of the concentrate storage building, electrical buildings, pebble crushing circuit, tailings underdrain system, decant piping and reclaim water pump station.

We also provided personnel for start-up assistance and are under contract for on-going plant maintenance.

lisbon-valleyLisbon Valley SX/EW Plant

Work on this project generally consisted of disassembly, identification, cataloging, transportation, offloading and reassembly of the Equatorial SX/EW plant facilities from Tonopah, Nevada to the Lisbon Valley Mine near Moab, Utah.

Areas included crushing, conveying, stacking, heap leach, solution collection, reagents, solvent extraction, electrowinning, and plant utilities.

Work included approximately 7,000 cubic yards of concrete foundations, 1,500 tons of structural steel erection, a 2,500 tph gyratory crusher, secondary crushing and screening area, stacking system, SX/EW plant and 35,000 lineal feet of process piping.

pend-oreillePend Oreille Mine Lead Concentrator

We performed both underground and surface construction required to re-commission the Pend Orielle Mine near Metaline Falls, Washington.

The underground scope of work included refurbishment and installation of the primary and secondary crushers and approximately 6,000 lineal feet of conveyor to surface.

On surface we refurbished and installed the tertiary crushing system and the primary and regrind mills. We also installed the flotation and filter systems complete through the tailings pumps and tailings pipeline.

Work included concrete foundations, steel erection, mechanical installation, process piping, electrical and instrumentation.

cripple-creekCripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine Cresson Expansion Project

Work entailed several contracts as part of a major expansion, including the Truck Shop Civil and Mechanical, the Crusher Expansion Project and the ADR Expansion Phase I and II.

The Crusher Expansion Project was especially challenging given the scope of work required the placement of 4,500 cubic yards of concrete, 5,400 tons of structural steel and plate work, a gyratory crusher, three cone crushers and 2,100 lineal feet of conveyors and miscellaneous equipment at an elevation of 10,000 feet during winter conditions in the Colorado Rockies.

This project earned us the prestigious Gold Hard Hat Award from McGraw-Hill Companies, Colorado Construction in 2002.
